Today I took a friend for a car ride.
She is ‘terminal’ and now preparing for her life adventure to come to an end.
Every time we speak, she’s embracing and accepting the unknown.
My friend Lynn represents the new way to meet death. She is conscious and present; joyful and truthful. She aches for her children’s loss that is inevitable, yet celebrates the time she has with her friends and loved ones.
We sang today and marveled at the tree-lined arches welcoming us along A1A.
The sun was radiant and the cool wind soothed our sadness and turned it into joy. We felt everything and drank it in.
Being in the presence of someone who is present… is the greatest gift in this world.
I am relishing our glances and hugs and conversations and explorations about what really matters and what may come in the hereafter.
This is it, folks, this is it. Make life work for you while you have it and love everything you can set your eyes upon.
These fleeing moments are precious--- just like YOU--- so be the love you wish to see in the world... and may the blessings be.
