My thirty something daughter and I have been developing an adult relationship and I no longer think I know what’s best for her —- she let me know, she’s in the driver’s seat of her life.
"My life is Now,” she recently told me. “It’s what I make of this day that will determine my true happiness."
"It’s not about my fantasies, elaborate plans, or wishes for the future. That will never give me peace, comfort or joy."
"I let it all go," she concluded at the end of our conversation. "I’m living knowing that today is when my life is happening.”
I felt deep fulfillment as Kimberly shared with me her newfound wisdom. She's definitely equipped herself with lifelong tools for happiness.
